518 trans with 440 6 pack
« on: November 19, 2016 - 05:53:05 PM »
So, my 727 dies the other day (doesn't go forward or reverse anymore so I decided to do the 518 swap.  I ordered a 94 46RH and the ultra bell adapter.  My big question I can't seem to find an answer on is how the kickdown linkage pivot point connects to the bell housing?  The pics of the ultra bell don't appear to show a spot for the stud the lower pivot point attaches to.  Has anyone done the 518 swap with the rod linkage (vice cable)?  How did you do the lower pivot?

Thanks,
Derrick

Do yourself a favor and use a cable instead.

Totally agree. It provides a nice easily adjustable kick down. These are worth the money in my opinion.
