Thanks again everyone, building is going to be slow as we are seeing some snow already and things being busy, not having a garage built yet is going to slow things down a bit also, car was first though, lol. I have found some issues with the car that have to be corrected, firewall has some soft spots, right rear frame has to be changed, already have it, inner fenders were hacked for some reason, already have them from the last car, dash is cracked etc., I will collect parts over the winter and do what I can over the winter and see what I have left in the spring, thanks again and will post a built post with the progress.

So I received the Firewall upper and lower cowls and tried to fit them together and noticed some figment issues, these are AMD panels, get one side to fit nice and then the car side does not, holes for the brake booster are partially covered, and one of the holes for electrical plug as well, is this a common problem or do I just have to tweak them into place.

I relied more on measurements to the inner fender walls (distance between heater fan hole and wall and the furthest hole on the driver side,)as well as the cross member support on the outside of the inner fender wall to the upper cowel.  My holes weren't perfect but close enough to address with gaskets and such.  Welcome to the site.

I missed a picture.  Also, remember to mark or measure the width of the inner fender walls so that you hood will be square.  Long story :stomp:

Welcome to the site. Sorry I didn't see this before. That 60 Chevy- did you buy it from a guy named Sean and was it in the process of being restored by any chance? As for the cowl/firewall, they need to fit so that the electrical plug and throttle cable can get through them and when we replaced mine, we fitted the two together and bonded/welded them before putting them in the car. You simply have to make them fit and this will require pushing/pulling/jacking and clamping to make it happen. You could try talking to Louis at Active Collision in Timmins. He's a good guy and a racer into the bargain. His wife Di is usually in the office. Tell him Ian says hello.

Thanks for the replies, I have looked at it closely and have notice the the upper cowl has been bent and tweaked, I'll have bend and tweak it back, as for that 60 chev, no I didn't buy it from anybody called Sean. A little story about the chev is it was originally bought in a small town that my fiancee lived in, found out that it was her great uncle Guy that owned the dealership at that time and probably sold it, we found it 8 hrs south when we were down there looking at another car, Jimynick u seem to know a lot about this area that we live in, where you from?
