It would be exciting to have 1:18 Posey and Gurney die cast models, is there any information online about these being released and when they will be for sale?
I have Hot Wheel and a 1:24 slot car model that is actually pretty well done.
It is interesting seeing someone's build of a Posey model in 1/24 scale. I built one myself back in the 90s and I see some areas of his build that blow mine away and some things I got right on on mine that he didn't do on his.
I've built the 1:24 Monogram now Revell T/A kit 5 times since it came out in the 80s. First of my red T/A, then a Posey replica, then a '71 hemi R/T, then a Vanishing Point, then most recently, another of my red T/A how it will look restored. Now the T/A is restored, so it is a replica of the car as it is now. And the first I built is a replica of how it was in the 80s, complete with a Die Hard battery and Moroso Blue max ignition wires LOL.
One thing I have always done is correct the front valence, having it part of one piece extending back to the front wheel well sticks out like a sore thumb to me. On my Posey build and most recent T/A replica, I modified the hood scoop to make it "open". Looks OK painted flat black when on a T/A replica, but it didn't look right to me on the Posey so I modified it to be open.
Seeing the pictures of his, I am tempted to try to take my engine out and redo it. I had very little in the way of reference back in the 90s so my engine is not too accurate! Didn't have the internet to search for pictures and such. Even trying to replicate the roll bar was a bear, I had mostly black and white pictures in magazines to go with. My interior could be better but too late now!
