Storing and protecting my roller cam 360 until it goes into the challlenger

Hi everyone,

Back in June, my roller cam 360 came back from the shop, having a full rebuild and some fun head work done. I had plans to get it in the car fairly quickly.

As I'm sure many of us have done, and I hadn't realized it at the time, but it started my restoration.

I'm elbows deep in my car and preparing to send it off to body in the next few months.

All that to say, I've got this not inexpensive roller cam 360 just sitting around. It's wrapped and stored away safely, but I'm starting to wonder if I should be doing anything to protect the internal components until I can actually get it in the car and fire it up.

At this point, the distributor has not been installed. Should it be installed before or after any advice you provide?

Grab some Mopar pixie dust and do the ceremonial dance around the motor.

That should make it last just long enough to put in the car. 

All kidding aside, you will be priming the motor before starting her up so I wouldn't be too worried unless you didn't lube the cam, rockers, etc.

Spray it with INOX or CRC or cover it with oil and wrap in in cling wrap, then put it in a post pack tube
