Legendary Interior
« on: March 27, 2017 - 04:02:14 AM »
Hi
I have a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Gran coupe, ( photos are on this site)
I am interested in purchasing 1 pair Front Bucket seat covers  ( Leather) + rear seat covers in vinyl
Fender Tag info is Trim Grade/ style/ Colour - PRT5
Colour code as per fender Tag is T5, Saddle Tan
My question is that i don't believe the T5 Saddle tan was a popular Trim colour, are Legendary the best option for these items
I am based in Australia
Regards
David

Legendary is a good bet for the covers IMO. Many folks rely on them. I did a '69 bucket set with PUI and they came out really decent. I can say the materials between the two were the same thickness but the Legendary backing was more uniform.

that's about it. PUI covers are only black or white. T5 tan will most likely 4-6 weeks or better to be made.

Dave,

How do PUI covers stack up against Legendary? Price? Quality?

Dave,

for a driver/flip they are good the sheen on them is more and the material is a bit thinner. But for a close OE exact cover I would use the LAI.

Here's a side by side with Legendary on the left. Look close at the picture for the end to end. Same thickness per a 1" barrel mic. Non-uniform weave on the PUI backing. Both were pretty close to the old hardened cover thickness. Legendary will send you a sample for grain and color if you request.
