Aftermarket instrument clusters.
« on: March 04, 2017 - 04:37:39 AM »
I've seen the Autometer replacement gauge panels and I'm not a fan of their gauge placement..

I haven't taken apart my dash and my car is currently in winter storage..

I plan on glassing in my own version putting the gauges where I want them..
I'll relocate the dimmer rheostat to the underside of that section.

Could I plastic weld the switch panel to the gauge panel and still be able to remove to remove/install the cluster with no issue?
I'm no good at photo rendering, but I hope you'll get the idea..

I suppose you can take it out with the lower trim out, you may need to pull/drop the column too.
