How do you take off the window trim and widow gutter trim
« on: February 10, 2017 - 05:45:24 PM »
I have a 1970 Barracuda, I want to remove the outer chrome window trim and gutter trim, I want to reuse them, so how do I take them off w/o damaging them.

I just removed mine, the gutter trim is held on with screws. the window trim has clips in it that you have to get a tool in to release. that video is a great example of the removal process. basicly the same for the barracuda.
Buy this tool or something similar to make your life a lot easier http://www.tooltopia.com/tool-aid-87700.aspx?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=paid_search_google_pla&scid=scplpSGT87700&sc_intid=SGT87700&gclid=Cj0KEQiAifvEBRCVx5up6Ojgr5oBEiQALHw1TqMl3tOl1rF7EeR1nSeeD34NVgt2_GeEqpt-zWc24EoaAnNm8P8HAQ
1970 Barracuda project in the making!

Came right off with a slight bit of prying..   Not much at all..

bad news is, I found some rust to deal with..

I think this is the seam area where the roof meets the 1/4 panel..
Would the factory have just used body filler in this seal?
