Bumper guards.... 73-74

Would I be correct in assuming these massive things are not reproduced?   I have the ones off my project 1973 and will not be putting them back on...    is there a market for them?  They are really pitted and would definitely need work - but realistically what are they worth?

Not much of a market for them.  Most take them off.  73 rubber is smaller then 74.  IMO the 73 guards don't look bad.  The 74 rubber looks ridiculous it sticks out so far.

I thought only the rears were larger.

IMO, toss them. Its been over 40 years now and unlike 70 or 71's, originality doesn't matter with a 72-74 ebody as far as selling price goes. Soooo no one wants to buy them.

They seem to be hard to find when I've looked for them in the past. No clue as to how much you may be able to get. As stated above most don't like them and have probably tossed them. I for one like the 73 style on my car after getting used to them. I think the main reason I like them is because everyone else seems to hate them and I don't what my car to be like everyone else's.

I like mine as-is, but sure wish someone made the 'filler' that bolts on to the bumperette to fill gap to rear valence... mine literally fell apart

Thanks Lbs, but my fillers are rubber molded around a bracket that bolts from the bottom up into the bumperette... the bracket rusted through, and the rubber hasn't aged very well... sorta like me!

Pitch them and get '71 bumpers and brackets. I also filled in the rear cutouts in the valance for a much smoother look.

I pitched the bumperettes and just put a bumper bolt in the hole. It looks fine and only a very serious Mopar guy will pick up on it. I also filled the cutouts in the valance.

My car is a 73 and I got 72 bumper brackets and bumperettes. Tossed all the rubber fillers.
