Triple white 71' Barracuda Convertible
« on: February 14, 2017 - 05:57:42 PM »
Back in about 78' after I first moved to San Diego, my supervisor mentioned he had won a Barracuda. The biggest thing for him was it was a free car. John had won it while stationed in Hawaii but visiting his daughter in San Diego. I had a strong desire to buy an e body but it was a 318 car and not for sale anyway. At the time the white color and small engine had no appeal for me. I wanted a big block and could take or leave the soft top.
A few months later he drove it to work and the white paint, interior and top really popped. I was blown away by how good that combo looked. That was the only time I saw it as he usually drove his beater Vega to work.
That was a long time ago and I wonder what happened to John. He would be very old by now. I like to think he left it to his daughter and she kept it.
John

John lived in Encinitas when I worked with him. Until recently I had no idea how any 71 Barracuda was let alone an all white on. Couldn't have been more than a hand ful.

awesome color combo.

Just figure out John's last name and research his daughter.  In this day and age you can find anyone.

Wow thats amazing. Do you know for certain or is it likely or? Itwhat I do know for certain is 318/auto triple white and nearly positive it had hub caps, not magnums or rallys. If it was repainted orange that would be unfortunate as it was the triple white that really stood out.

If it came to Sweden 1979 I guess it's not the same car.
