power to manual brakes-reinf. plate
« on: March 01, 2017 - 07:58:44 PM »
I'm thinking about changing over from power to manual brakes. I'm planning on using the litewieght  master with the adapter plate. My question is what is the difference in the reinforcement plate between power and manual? Is it just a cou[ple of holes I can drill in it or doI need the manual plate?
Thanks, Gary

I don't believe there is a power reinforcement plate, it's all in the booster itself.

Looking at the service manual it does show a reinf. plate btwn the booster and the firewall. I'll have to get out to the car and look at it. I'd just hate to buy the plate if I don't need it.

Yes and the holes are in different locations.

Thanks for the info guys.
I think I'll be ordering the plate from Dr Diff since his is aluminum, and it fits with a Hemi incase I ever decide to swap out the small block :stirpot: :jumping:
