Our Gull wing spoilers are made of ABS plastic, exactly as the originals were made. You can find other vendors with Gull Wings advertising them as “Composite”. You might ask what “Composite” is? It’s fiberglass. Don’t be fooled. Check out one of these “Composite” spoilers, take a peek inside the pedestal opening area and you’ll clearly see the fibers from the fiberglass. These “Composite” spoilers are offered because the tooling costs are much less than ABS tooling. We did not want to be cheap and bring a lesser quality Gull Wing spoiler to market. Our ABS plastic spoilers are the REAL DEAL! Our pedestals (feet) are made of aluminum and are hollow just as originals. Cheaper spoilers will use solid aluminum feet. This is not time period correct.
Our 1971 Dodge Challenger Gull wing spoiler features the same 36" pedestals spacing, aluminum horseshoe attaching brackets, etc.
