Transmission Question
«

Hey All,
I just bought a 1974 Barracuda body (no engine or tranny). A guy has for sale locally a 727 auto tranny from a 1965
something. My question is: Will a 1965 big block 727 auto bolt up in a 1974 Barracuda? I'm going to go with a 383 or a 440, depending on what I can find. Thanks.

Not sure about the transmission, but you need the right motor mounts. (for the 440 to fit)

65 What ?
B body should fit , the neutral safety switch is a single pole , , at least 65 was the first year for the slip in rear yolk not the ball & trunion in 64

Not sure what it came out of. The guy said he knew it was a 65, but wasn't sure what it was in.
