I have to agree with that. Maybe if the recesses were painted body color?

Yep, that was the plan, 18x10 and 17x8, leave the polished dish (maybe) and paint the centers either black or gunmetal. they look a bit like 20's in the picture but I cant stand anything over 18 or they look to blingy.

what are the tires on that? and did you have to do anything to fit that combo? its just stock suspension?
Tires are Nittos on the back. Falken on the front. No mods when stock. When I lowered it 2" I had to roll the rear lips just a little.

I know this is very old, but what was the final tire/wheel contamination?

Would 3.75" backspacing on a 15x7 wheel work on a stock barracuda rearend?

If you really want to put some meat on the back, install some Dr. Diff's relocated spring hangers.  They are a total bolt in, (except for moving the spring perches) and you gain I think its 1.5 inches on each side IIRC.   http://www.doctordiff.com/e-body-offset-spring-hanger-shackle-kit.html

285/40/18  18x9"   6.5" BS   Rear
255/45/17  17x8"   4.5" BS   Front

BFG  KDWs on it with nearly an inch clearance on both sides of the rear tire.  The only reason I didn't get 315's was they didn't have them available at the time and this was the biggest I could get with 40 side ratio.   I still don't get any traction though.   I'm not a huge fan of my rims, but I got them used for a good price.  I plan to black out in the inset between the spokes.

Chris - Thanks, I was thinking for doing the offset hangers, really I would like 17's with 315's on the rear if possible.

I have 295s on a completely stock spring location and wheel well.
