Freshly rebuilt 904 - which fluid?
« on: March 27, 2017 - 12:43:47 PM »
Hi fellas,

Got my '72 904 tranny back from the transmission shop yesterday. It's been totally rebuilt and a TransGo TF2 shift kit has been installed.

Now when it's rebuilt I want to make sure to use the correct fluid for it but I haven't been able to find a trustworthy source that's clearly saying what to use :)
Therefore, dear Cuda-Challenger experts, please tell me what's the correct fluid for my tranny?

Thanks!

I agreee with dexron III...   However that is hard to find these days..   Some guys say use Type F (Ford) as it will provide a little firmer shifts...
