sequential turn signal problem

My 2010 Challenger has sequential turn signals that a previous owner installed. They don't want to work right. The problem I'm having is the turn signals blink too fast for the sequence to complete. The right side seems to work a little better than the left. On the right a couple lights get lit but on the left side I only get one light (out of 3) lit before the blinker turns off again. When I hit the brakes they will all come on in sequence like they are supposed to.

Any one know how to slow down the blinkers? And where is the blinker on one of these cars? How hard is it to get to?

Any help before I dive in would be appreciated.

  I had a set on my 2013 from Web Electric. They would blink fast occasionally on one side or the other, but once I shut the car off, they would reset themselves. (many have had this problem)

Have you verified that the turn signal lights on the front aren't burned out, and are the cause of the fast blink problem?

Other than that, I can only point the finger at the control module which will be tucked in your trunk lid. Did the previous owner leave you the original rear wiring harness so you can go back to light bulbs?

Mine did the same thing,2012 r/t it,started having issues 6 months after I bought it , the right side one day lost power,chased it and never could get to work, the relay failed I assume , I e mailed web electric ,I was supposed to send it to them let them diagnose/repair ,I lost interest, I put the factory unit back in, problem solved.

Thanks for the replies. All lights are working including the front lights. It seems to work when just idling. When the engine has any revs it speeds up a little and Thar's when the problem happens. It blinks just a little too fast for the sequence to finish.

Oh yea I almost forgot. This sequential system is using bulbs not LED's.

Problem found! One 3057 bulb out. Last one in the sequence messing up that side. At least I don't have to tare anything apart.

Just saw this thread and it is good to see that the problem is solved.
It always needs to be remembered that the current draw affects the operation of these control units and fitting the wrong wattage globe also will upset the operation.
