Just an FYI. I have an original 440 car and it came with a 22"rad. It is now stroked and has a 195 degree thermostat for the 6 pack and does not overheat. Oh it is a copper rad.

on a 90+ degree day, and it doesn't overheat?
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

Cool! Can you post a pic of the oem radiator setup? A RB engine with the 22" radiator is apparently a rare option. :thumbsup:

I have two big block cars with a 22 inch rad. A 1970 Chrysler 300 with a 440 and 22 inch radiator with no shroud. That would be the 350 H.P. motor and that is what's in my Barracuda now after I added a shroud. I also have a 71 Road runner 383 with a 22 inch  radiator that came with a shroud all stock.

This is my Barracuda set up that came from a 70 Chrysler. I had to make a small adjustment to the mounting bracket to bolt in the E body. I added some home made brackets to mount a shroud and I added the viscous drive fan. It originally came with a fixed fan.

This is the road runner mostly original 22 inch rad with shroud and solid fan.

Thanks for posting the pics! It would seem that a fixed fan may work w/o a shroud but a viscous fan would require one? The two shrouds look identical between the two cars. Same radiator?

The Road runner shroud is original and the Barracuda is a reproduction. The radiators are very close only difference is the  bracket that mounts to the car
