no blinkers

73 cuda. no blinkers. all bulbs are good. new flasher. lights all work with hazards on. brake lights work. running lights work. NOTHING when I switch either blinker on. any idea what to check in steering column ? im not all that good when it comes to electrical . maybe its a common problem ??  :dunno:

You know theres two right? One for hazards & one for turn signals.... Look on the side of the ash tray.....

yes . both flashers are brand new.

Well the fact the hazards work & the brake lights work shows 95% of the wiring is good... Have you checked the fuses?  The flasher next to the ashtray needs 12v with the key on...  Quick question.. Are the new flashers the electronic type?  Not the old mechanical design...  If so they are sensitive to polarity The old style weren't... So if you remove the flasher & put a jumper in & the lights work then you need to remove the wires from the connector & reinstall them is the opposite sockets....

Not  sure what type they are. Haven't replaced a flasher in last 30 years. Lol. I'll check that out.  Thanks

Also, just for the hell of it swap both flashers & see if the problem follows the flasher or the car....
