    It is possible that this are the original Muffler from 1970 ?
    Or is this a repro Part ?
    Is any Number on this Muffler for the Year ?

    While I am not an expert on OE stuff I think an original muffler would be side in not center in. Also the 21703 looks like a Walker exhaust part number on the resonator.  :dunno:

    exactly , the inlet is offset on the factory mufflers not centered

    The first picture (oval unit) is of an aftermarket resonator and is correct with the center/center configuration. The second picture (round unit) is of the muffler and is also an aftermarket unit. The 21703 part number is a Walker(Tenneco) part number as mentioned by another poster.

    I have the same muffler which I ruined getting at the sender, 21703 is the p/n and is identical to the 2nd picture in the thread.  I'm wondering what the replacement is from Walker. Doing the measurements I came up with model 18130. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!!
