72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

Boxing the front frame rails was a typical upgrade on those cars when you put in a V8.  Yes it would have been better to box the whole frame, but if you don't drive it to hard it should stay together.

The question "How dangerous is this Car?" Is like asking how dangerous is this gun.
I would be concerned about the Model A having no bumpers. The battery is in the trunk next to an after market fuel tank.
Originally the Model A came with a plate glass window. The steering column will act like a spear to the solar plexus in a head-on collision. I'd be more worried about other drivers. As Clint Eastwood said, "A man's gotta know his limitations".

I figured the most dangerous thing was the chassis being able to handle the power,
and the short wheel base causing instability, ie rolling over.  Reason I'm asking
is I like the looks of the car a lot. Plus, I usually stab the throttle and start thinking
about 5 secs later, which is kinda dumb.  So, a safe stable car is probably a must.

You seem to have a good understanding of your abilities and I'm here to tell you that it wouldn't take 5 seconds with your foot to the floor, for this car to get you in deep, deep trouble. Think sprint car with not as much HP and you'd be close. Not a car to be blase' about.  :nono:

Oh, you could go fast in it, but you'd also have to pay close attention- all the time- to it when you were doing so. I imagine your car would be the same with a 496 in it.
