Still struggling with my disc conversion on my '67 a-body Cuda. Finally getting parts in but having trouble with the spndle. I replaced the bump stop making the UCA sit higher. In order to get the top of the spindle to meet up with the upper ball joint, I've tried using a jack to raise the LCA, per advice from friends. However, the noises I'm getting as the jack goes higher (creaking) and the little shifts of the jack as parts move are causing me some concern.
My question is should I loosen the adjuster bolt more (this car has torsion bars)? Would that make the jacking of the LCA less stiff? I've loosened them a lot but not to the point of the bracket being loose. Is this an otherwise good way to get the spindle hooked to the upper ball joint?
My pics are too big on my phone but can try to upload one from my computer if this is too confusing.
