So my two cents: this is not a killer deal but 60k seems a fair price. It's a very nice car but a rust spot is a little disappointing. Hopefully that's minor and doesn't require immediate work or turn out to be more.
The burnt orange paint was actually very popular for 1970. I seem to recall reading color production numbers somewhere that showed it to be as popular as a few high impact colors. Can't say I recall seeing it on an AAR so maybe that's what he meant by rare.
Final thoughts...you cannot restore a car right these days for less than 30k (likely way more) and a trashed AAR will cost you 25-30k so if you could get this one for 60k, you're probably ahead of the game. This is a car that won't lose value if you treat it right. It's been my experience people fret over the purchase price too much, afraid they will pay 5k more than it's worth at the time. In the end, you only live once and you won't care about what you paid years from now as you're cruising down the back roads to some car show. Just crawl around the car and verify all numbers personally.
