The trick with a cork gasket is to install it with no silicon I have done many tranny pans this way with great success No Leaks

Well.. problem solved.  On Saturday (Carlisle) I bought a B&M deep aluminum trans pan kit for $120. I installed yesterday using their cork gasket.. and I thinly coaded silicone on each side. There are no leaks from the pan. The only  leak left, albeit small, are residual drips from the new trans line fittings.. should be an easy fix this week.

That was the best deal I found @ carsile.. when in doubt.. go new. IMO the tin pans are junk. It's also a great feature to have a trans drain plug.. wheew.
