A Pillar Difference Cuda/Challenger

I've got an a pillar I'm trying to replace on a 71.

The replacement part I have appears to have holes that are different that the hinge spacing. I would have to modify the a pillar hole spacing to get the square hinge, and round holes to line up. I know repro parts are bad, but I didn't expect this bad.

Any know if the a pillar is different between the two cars? Bought the part a couple of years ago and only recently go to start work on it. Receipt shows for Cuda/Challenger I believe.

Any idea the break down on these changes? This surely doesn't look correct. Not sure how I would get the correct one though, I guess find a supplier that will measure for me.  I suppose the hinge plate panel on my car could have been changed at some point, as well.

If comparison photos help, check out a thread I started "saving a JH 4 speed car." I can also send you measurements or other more detailed photos. I did both the hinge pillars on my 70 and the job went fairly smooth and easy. I am almost certain the parts are same for all years. Also, I used less expensive metal and everything fit quite nicely.
