Is it just me, or do these cars just look tough when they're sitting like this, I sware some times I just like looking at the progress pictures better than the finished car. The thing just looks mean. Good luck man, your about the same as I'm at. Had to hold up today though, got a war wound cutting off my Quarter panel, I think there's more blood on the floor of the garage than I have in my body right now. But I wrapped it with a towel and at least finished taking off the quarter panel. Prioritys right? ;)
I think they look cool no matter what stage they're in. They look like they mean business. I hope the war wounds heal quickly. It sounds like your going to move faster than me. I have to watch my funds with 2 kids and a mortgage. If I would have sliced myself like that I'd probably still be lying on the garage floor passed out! :ack:

Yeah, it hurt like hell last night, but I did manage to go over today and rip out that back window panel, its amazing how easily some of this stuff comes out when it's rotted. I grabbed the passenger side of the back window panel and ripped it completely off. The new panel is sitting in its place and I will tell what, they did there homework when they made that panel because it fits like a glove. And the OEM quarters are worth every penny. I don't really have a lot of cash either, I went back to school at 36 and I'll be 40 this year, I was married and had a morgage too but that ended, stuff happens even when we don't want it too. So while I'm working my way into a new career as an Aircraft Crash Investigator, Im putting this thing together on the side to keep me sane.    Dave

How much did the frame rail cost? I have some rust in one of my front rails so I bought a set of those full front frame rail caps from www.autorust.com .. cost me $1400 to buy and get them here to Australia - hoping they are a good product and everything will become good again

I think I will replace it with the yaer one full rear section , not yhr cheesy patches.  Dave

P.S One of the picture above is of the drivers side front frame rail rot.

Yeah, I noticed the frame rot.  Got similar problems on mine.  FYI, the frame rail sections from YR1 actually are made by Auto Rust Technicians in Cranston RI.  After I bought my first one and noticed where it was shipped from I ordered directly from ART and saved some money.  Here's their website=>>  http://www.autorust.com/

Good Luck!

I can tell you from experience the 71-72 Only B-body frame rails are identical to the 70-74 E-body frame rails in every detail. I got this information from Texas Acres Sheet metal and then had that confirmed by a savage yard in Up state NY that deals in nothing but Mopar. I wanted to know this because both of my frame rails in the front were rotted beyond belief. I found a 1972 Satillite 4 door and a 1972 Road Runner sitting side by side in a yard in DeLand Florida and spent the day measuring and taking photos before I went through the hassle of taking them off. When I came to the conclusion that they were in fact Identical to my Challenger (Both cars the Runner and the Satillite) I took the satillite because it had 2 good rails as opposed to the 1 on the runner and cut the car in half with a torch across the floorsection and brought the front clip w/no motor home in the back of my ranger pickup. I spent the next day or two, cleaning off the rails from the rest of the sheet metal I didn't need and when I finally got the chance to lay the frame rails down together side by side with the challenger rails, I was one happy guy. The ONLY difference I found was the part number. All measurements are exact and right on the money as are all of the mounting holes for the bumper brackets, the bolt holes for the brake lines , everything.I paid 250.00 for the complete front section and 50.00 to torch it in half. So if you do need front rails for a 70-74 Challenger or Cuda, these are the same but remember only 71 and 72, 4 door or 2 door it doesn't matter. Below is a photo of the 72 4 door satillite frame rail welded in on the drivers side of my Challenger, I haven't had a chance to do the other side yet but the drivers side only took me a total of maybe a half a day to put in and it went in nice.   Good luck with you project, and by the way, the frame rails for 71-72 B-bodys are cheaper than 70-74 E-bodys, Gee I wonder why? :)
