Glass Tint question
« on: October 10, 2017 - 05:15:32 PM »
Can one assume if there's no tint code on fender tag that the glass is clear? 70 Challenger. Purchased car with no windshield in it and the other glass appears to be clear, but no markings on them.

My understanding has always been that non AC cars always had clear glass. I'm no expert on that though. I would assume if other glass is clear, it probably all was.

Everything I've read indicates G11 = tinted glass all, for 72-74 e-body. My 73 Challenger has 87,830 Miles with factory ac (H51) with original factory tinted glass all with Chrysler pentagram logo, and fender tag does not include code G11 .  This indicates fender code H51 includes tinted windshield and tinted glass all. Implies code G11 is for e-bodies without ac that were ordered with factory tinted windows. Seems logical.
