    You're all going to think I'm a dipstick, but where exactly is the oil dipstick hole on a 1976 440 engine? I'm just getting to know my car, have succeeded in un-seizing the engine and now need to refill the oil. Online photos show it at the front on either left or right, but I can't find a stick, a tube , or a hole?????????

    Drivers side the hole will be just above the pan rail & just to the rear of the engine mount.....

    Found the hole - under 35 years of crud. Also found the tube and dipstick amongst the pile of bits and pieces. Tahnks
