I have used many GPSs ranging from military versions to a wide variety of civilian ones to include the watch I am wearing right now (Garmin Tactix Charlie). A GPS is great until it isn't, meaning that if you are going to use a GPS for any type of actual navigation you need a back up system (a Map).
I have a GPS speedo in my Cuda and it is interesting to use, I am not real sure I like it or not. It is very accurate but can lose signal.
