Firewall Insulation Installation on 70 Cuda
« on: March 21, 2018 - 08:49:11 AM »
Can the firewall insulation on a 70 Cuda be installed with the steering column and brake/clutch pedals in place?

When I bought the car it had no insulation on the firewall or behind the kick panels so I have no reference as to how it looks installed.  Ive searched the forum and there are numerous posts on this subject but none that answer my question......and all the posts that had pics of the firewall insulation, the pics are no longer visible.

Any help would be appreciated!

I believe it can but it might be a bit of a challenge. Google around for some of the resto shops, they frequently have build pictures on their website and you might get lucky and find some good pictures. If originality isn’t an issue I would recommend using something like Hushmat instead of the factory stuff.
