how do the tips for the sun visors attach? is there to be some type of stud on the end of the sun visor?

Should be a metal rod about 3.5" long, about 3/8" diameter with a stepped area machined into the end....    You should be able to source a pair from practically any vintage mopar, cars, trucks, vans....

awesome, found a set on ebay, do they thread into visor metal round tab or just simply press in, like the visor arm?

They press in... Of they are to loose they fall out & get lost, then your searching for replacements... I have sandwiched the visor in cardboard then put it in a vise & slightly compress the visor to tighten the metal that clamps the end...

BTW the end should be smooth silver argent not chrome.. Paint holds up well since once installed they don't get handled much...
