Slant Six 904

Will a slant six 904 trans bolt up to a small block, 318,340, 360? I was reading another forum, and someone said it will.  I would like to convert from a 6 cyl to 8 but I'm on a budget. It going to be a daily driver and eventually I would like to get a 727. Thanks

Basically no.... Very early 727's used an adapter but that was eliminated early in production
