« on: June 21, 2018 - 09:33:24 PM »
Can you turn off the cylinder deactivation on the hemi. 6.2  I am looking into a challenger with the shaker and the 6.2  I don't know if I want the manual or automatic what concerns me is the cylinder deactivation. I want the power all the time like the old days

I don't know if you can kill the cylinder deactivation, but it only happens when the computers sense that they're not needed as in a steady state cruise. If you put your foot in it, they come back on line seamlessly and instantly, so it shouldn't be an issue powerwise. You can bet that the OEM spent a ton of dough to make it so. Just my  :2cents:

I dont know about the new models, but when that feature first came out I believe you could deactivate it. Talk to the dealer.

Gotcha, 6.2L in the original post would be a Hellcat displacement. 6.4 for the scat.
