Months later we are still moving along. I needed to come here and rant a bit as I am sure many of you have been through similar situations. 2 big hiccups so far. 1st one is with the dash, i ordered a dash from Alan Foxx down in El Paso TX. I have seen good and bad about this guy but I hear he does good work so I decided to take the risk....got burned thus far. I called to place my order the week before Carlisle and was told that if I sent the check that day my dash would be shipped before the big orders came in from the show. I was able to reach him on the phone about 45 days ago and I said he was not in the shop and would call me back. He has not called and will not answer when I attempt to call him, it has been 3 months since I sent the check for just under $1000.  I had my father call and he actually answered for him, hopefully something shows up. The other pain in my a** is the cost of the body/paint work. After discussing the initial cost it was estimated to be between 7-8k. As you can see the car does not appear to be in terrible shape but a few things have come up and I am now told its going to be more like 10k. 3 main issues came to light, had to go to the frame shop and get adjusted, problem was discovered when he was trying to line up the doors. Next issue was discovered when the front and rear glass were removed. They were not installed properly and there was a good amount of rust/holes that needed to be fixed, additionally the car had more mud in it than was expected. Thats all for now, I have attempted to upload pictures but for some reason am unable to do so. Ill keep trying to figure that out, 10 attempts so far, pics were taken with iPhone and it says file to large, put them on imgur and it still won't work.

I like Ultimate Rides dash pads, but I have to admit, dealing with Alan Foxx can be challenging at times :banghead: .

Any qualified body shop should not have giving you a price without first explaining what could happen to their estimate if they find "more issues"  I think you should be happy that they can actually justify the increase by showing you the problems that have popped up.

The metal guy I use will not even look at your car unless it's been stripped 100% and media blasted to find ALL the rust first. In my opinion, it's the only way to properly restore a car. :2cents:

Glad it's still going on.  you might have to put your pictures on something like image shack or photo bucket.  An image hosting website.

Looking good.

Another website to upload pictures that's easy to use.

http://postimage.org/

Just copy the link after it's uploaded and post it.
Remove the second row it's advertising.

I used to like Imageshack but now they want to charge for an account.

Looks great,   :2thumbs:

You can go up to 900 x 800 on picture size.
800 x 600 is common.

Look at the numbers below each picture says it's size.
