    duct doesn't fit in A/C to non A/C conversion?

    I am converting my Cuda from A/C to non A/C
    after creating the correct holes in the firewall I could easily mount the heater box.
    However it seems that the other duct parts don't fit so well.. is this normal or the upper part of sheet metal is different too in non A/C cars?

    The duct for the defrost is different

    I know that the duct is different. I was asking if the sheet metal where the duct attached to is different.

    I believe the sheet metal is the same, the vents are different (I think).

    Sorry about that.  I did a swap on a 70 challenger installed an ac duct and had no issues.  But someone else had taken everything apart, so maybe they changed the sheet metal??

    Thats how it's supposed to fit..... It  doesn't fit back into the recessed area...  Look at your dash pad... You can draw a line through the attaching bolts & they will split the vents.... Just like yours do....
