Anyone try the new Tremec TKX

Have a 71 challenger and looking at putting a new Tremec TKX 600 5 speed in.  Has anyone done this and do you have to modify the tunnel any?  What about drive line angles.

I haven't tried it myself, but I'd be interested in seeing how it all unfolds as it's something I might consider in the future.  :cheers:

I currently have the TKO 600 and it has always been a problem.  Can't push it up enough to get drive angles. Rubs against floor board when you floor and vibrates.  Center link rubs the oil pan because you can't push the tail up.  Have added the extra pieces to the tunnel just not enough and the car is put together now.  I sure don't want to start cutting the floor board.  Whole inside would have to come out.  So this looks easy fix but they don't provide any actual measurements and comparisons.  So a little shy after buying one.  This was a auto car originally so maybe the tunnel is a little different I don't know.

The auto cars had the standard floor-pan and the 4 speeds had an additional hump that after the auto floor was cut out, covered those cut outs, allowing the 4 speed box to fit, so I can see where you may be having issues. Finished or not, it sounds like you need to do something, so as to make the car more of a joy to drive!  :cheers:

Hump has been added along with the additional piece to widen on the other side.
