Radio Install
« on: January 02, 2019 - 02:45:31 PM »
Im about to put my radio in my 70 Cuda. I have 2 questions. Does the dash drim go on first or the radio go in first it looks like it will be hard to get at the trim screws 3 on one side an two at the bottom. Also what hold the radio in Just the bracket on the side. There are 2 little tits on the front of the radio they look like they go into little holes in the dash frame idont know I never took it out. Also how do the chrome sleeves come off the buttons mine need to be replaced. Thanks Dirk

I "believe" that the trim goes on first (been a lot of years since I installed a factory radio). I am pretty sure there is a bracket to support the rear of the radio.
Current Mopar
70 Challenger RT 440-6 EFI, 73 Cuda 416-6 EFI
05 Hemi Durango, 01 Ram 4x4, 14 Ram 2500 4X4, 10 PCP Challenger 6 spd RT, 01 Viper GTS ACR, 52 B3B w/330 Desoto Hemi, 70 Hemi RR (under const)
Past Mopars
9 x Challengers. AAR Cuda, 4 RR, 2 GTX, 4 Chargers, etc... (too many to list)
