Challenger Door insert nuts
« on: May 22, 2019 - 10:54:06 AM »
Does anyone know where I can find the nuts for the studs on the back of the woodgrain door inserts? Any help would be appreciated.

My short answer's no, but a wee dab of w/s urethane here and there would also do the trick.

Check with RT specialties, he seems to carry things like that. If he doesn't you can get "pushlock" (those round washer looking things that have what looks like a star pattern in the middle, they get pushed over studs). Also, I believe those nuts are self cutting stamped sheet metal nuts which are available I think even on Amazon as the were used one many things, you just need to know what size you need. I have seem them also sold as "speed nuts" I think.

That looks like them, not sure if they are #8 or not but would bet they probably are as most of the interior screws are #8s
