71 'Cuda 2nd fender tag
« on: April 23, 2019 - 04:47:14 PM »
In the process of restoring my 71 BS23H1B 'Cuda and getting a new fender tag made. I have the old one and just found out today there was a 2nd fender tag I do not have.....
Is there any way to find out what was on the other fender tag? I do not have the build sheet.....
Thanks in advance for your help,
Martin

Without the build sheet, it's impossible to know for sure what came with the car. If the car is original you can see which options are missing from the 1st tag.

What Fern said basically. Careful inspection of the car can provide clues as to what it came with but there is no way to know 100% without the tag or the sheet.
Current Mopar

05 Hemi Durango, 01 Ram 4x4, 14 Ram 2500 4X4, 10 PCP Challenger 6 spd RT, 01 Viper GTS ACR, 52 B3B w/330 Desoto Hemi, 70 Hemi RR (under const)
Past Mopars
9 x Challengers. AAR Cuda, 4 RR, 2 GTX, 4 Chargers, etc... (too many to list)

Thanks for the replies, found a list of all possible codes and will inspect the car with the list in hand. Write down all codes not already on the 1st tag and hope they will make me a 2nd tag based on the inspection!

Show us the first tag, maybe we can say what should be on the second tag.

on the second tag there could be an additional radio code (R..), maybe a stripe code (V..) and in some cases the radiator size. On some tags I've seen rare Y-codes, if the car was very special.
But without the broadcast sheet you never could make it correct.

I believe that the "CTD" indicates a second tag (as in "continued"); however what codes were on it remain to be seen, could have been with one or 2  codes like the radiator size and a Y code and then  "END" (for end). But as stated, without the build sheet there in no way to know for sure.
