70 Cuda Side Marker Light Pal Nuts
« on: June 23, 2019 - 09:19:27 AM »
I am looking for the large pal nuts (size #10) that mount the side marker lights. I don’t need the small ones.  Let me know if you have them.

I think I got mine from amazon, as part of a pack. I honestly don't remember now. I can tell you that if you are putting new nuts on old lights they tend not to hold well, you need to close up the hole of the nut a little to get them to bite.
Current Mopar
70 Challenger RT 440-6 EFI, 73 Cuda 416-6 EFI
05 Hemi Durango, 01 Ram 4x4, 14 Ram 2500 4X4, 10 PCP Challenger 6 spd RT, 01 Viper GTS ACR, 52 B3B w/330 Desoto Hemi, 70 Hemi RR (under const)
Past Mopars
9 x Challengers. AAR Cuda, 4 RR, 2 GTX, 4 Chargers, etc... (too many to list)

I am actually looking for the original style pal nuts. The flat hex pal nuts are all I’ve been able to find new. The originals are bullet shaped. Some people call them acorn nuts.

Ah, I see. What are the studs on the other side? Are they metal (1/4-20?) or plastic?

The smaller acorn nuts are 8-32 machine thread and they hold the smaller light sockets in place.

Used ones would work fine.

Hmm I wonder if they are the same as was used on the 72-74 Cuda taillights? I don't think so but maybe and I believe those are available. You could also try Wildcat Salvage, they have a lot of Mopar stuff.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll hit them up Monday.
