Bypass Alternator to Battery
« on: October 21, 2019 - 12:02:04 PM »
So got a new 95Amp Alternator, since everything is still fairly original in my car I need to bypass the bulkhead connector and the AMP Meter. So I'll take a 8 Gauge wire and connect the battery terminal on the alternator to the battery terminal on the starter relay. Is that it? What about the old wires? Can I leave them connected on both, the alternator terminal and on the starter relay?

Thanks in advance!

If you are left with unconnected wires; test them to determine if there is any electrical flow, if not then secure them and tuck them in someplace, if there is, then cap them and secure them.
