I'm not against one as I dont have the orignal motor to make it numbers matching but I've heard the aftermarket dont fit really well. I thought maybe I could get lucky and find a decent orignal.

Well I wish you luck finding one, I am sure they are out there but when I did my Cuda I bought 2 Goodmark repops, they did need some work but it wasn't horrible. That said, if I did it again I would buy AMD, I have used a lot of their sheet metal and it is usually far better quality. All that said, understand that a brand new fender may not seem to fit well, may not be the fender at all but rather the car. After 45 years things have shifted and moved, so its very likely that no matter what you get you will have to do some adjusting. Personally I would rather be using brand new sheet metal than having to fix old sheet metal which invariably you will have to with a used fender, just saying.

I understand. I've even heard some bad stories with the amd fenders not fitting right. I thought it was worth a shot and someone on here might have one they would part with.

I had one replaced in 1979 by a body shop with a factory Mopar. It is not the same fit, the windshield area is too long and looks wrong. Find an original one not rusted is possible from a dealer on this forum.

IMO its all a matter of acceptance, I put sherman fenders on my Cuda and while they were not perfect they didn't fit horrible. I did have to tweak them, close up some gaps, etc but all in all they were not horrible. I would have preferred AMD but they did not have any for a 72-74 at the time and my fenders were beyond repair. My point is this, if you are looking for something to bolt on and go, I think even a take off is going to need work of some degree, at least with a repop you have new clean metal to work with.
