The first time I saw the car, it was sitting on a flatbed tow truck. It had no drive train or interior. It wasn't much to look at, other than the Challenger grille and taillights. But, I knew it would be coming home with me.
https://jdmsportclassics.com/My 1973 Datsun 240zThe concept behind this car is based on the idea of an American car with Japanese reliability. It also makes it somewhat unique, as I am using a non-American engine in an American car. This would be my second attempt at building an LSx Datsun (click here for details). I previously completed a 1971 240z that I thought was pretty cool. It was my daily driver from 2012-2015. I had been searching for a 1973 240z as a project car but wanted to try something different. I started looking at 240z's on Craigslist and came across this '73 Datsun with the front of a 1970 Challenger. The pictures showed it to be complete, so I headed out to take a look.
