cam and valve train help
« on: July 13, 2005 - 09:57:01 PM »
now that the car is painted the 78 truck motor that I put the six pack on is a horse powerless piece of poop!  I am now pulling the 440
out of my friends 69 imperial to drop in where the chunck uf iron is now. before I put the 69 sixpack on the 69 440 I want to beef it up
alittle.
? what cam and lifters [roller] ,rocker arms, springs, timming chain, valves, to get biggest gain with headers and 3" all the way out?

new MSD and distributer as well.  I am thinking that I should port the 78 heads so I don't F U the 69 heads. motor will be completely redone over winter with crank, rods, biggist pump gas pistons I can [10.5 or 11 to 1]

I want to be done by this monday night.     ;D    :worship:
Why are the only other cars on the road all in my rear view mirror?  Oh yeah cause I got a 440/6 pack

Thank you GOD for the "Go Fast Division"

for street use I would use an UltraDyne Tf62 grind with matching springs  , Crane Iron rockers with out rollers , , a good double roller chain , & port the heads  , max comp with pump gas would be 9.8:1

UltraDyne has basically gone out of business , but they can still be ordered threough Lunati cams , Talk to Steve Slavic he used to work at UD , going from memory but the TF62-TF62-110 ona 43799 should be what you need
