I sent mike (topcat) my phone number in a PM.  I'm hoping he will be a man of integrity and call me to get some facts instead of just assuming, accusing and throwing stones.  I'll post the outcome.

The one last thing I will point out is that Icarus hijacked this thread and down it went.

In the future start your own thread out of respect for the OP.

What hijacking? I posted an unusual 71 hemi fender tag. Isn't that the name of this thread?
P.s. Still waiting to hear from for the friendly guys Cody spoke of.

Ok no problem. I apologize if I inadvertently hijacked. I'm not a expert on the forums.  I will be more careful.  I'll post this tag on a new thread.

Ok, just spoke to topcat mike.  I'm convinced these forums bring out the worst in us.  Mike seems to be an upfront  guy.  We worked things out and obviously have a lot in common with our mopars.
Mike, thanks for the call, I appreciate your integrity.
Pete

Thanks Pete. I publicly apologize for the comment I made and of course I did earlier with you.

We had a good talk so let's move on to more positive things and support Pete on his situation hereon out.

Anybody know why this tag has an A62?  Does it have to do with the B in the VON?

Both tags on this 1971 Challenger are repro tags and do not represent the Vehicle they are on. The information on the Tag does not represent what was on the fourth 1971 Hemi Challenger sold new in Canada came from the factory with. There are very few things on this tag that represent the Fourth 1971 Hemi Challenger sold new in Canada. It might be a correct serial number of a Hemi Challenger but that is all that came from the factory those tags did not come with the Challenger from Chrysler.

Well V9W is a white pin stripe and G37 is dual chrome mirrors more commonly coded seperately. I don't see an issue with those two codes being on there.

But really any fender tags are suspect without the original Broadcast Sheet to back them up. Without that the car loses a lot of potential value. :2cents:

Ahhh...nope.

V7* is the pinstripe.

V9*...n/a on 1971s.  I don't think I ever saw a Barracuda/Cuda with V9*.  That's the bumblebee stripe on 70 Challengers.
