    This is my first Mopar restoration in 16 years and I was noticing that Dantes was selling the 1970 passenger side mirror base........which I assume is the shorter base........they have a pic of it on their website.    Can you use this base on a later model 71 or 72 mirror and housing to get the correct appearance?     They have an ad on the front page of moparts.........  It seems easier to find later model mirrors for the passenger side than for the 70 model.......and seems like I heard the 70 passenger side mirror doesnt look exactly like the drivers side in appearance............not sure about this one...........thanks for your input......

    passenger and drivers side mirror and mirror mount is different on 70s.  passenger's is a true oval, while the driver's has slightly straighter sides.  We went through the difficulty of getting new correct glass for both.

    Any chance of Redline or anyone posting a few pics of these 70 model mirrors and bases..........drivers and passengers

    Thanks Redline...........I am a stickler about originality.........now I gotta go to the garage and see if I really have a 70 model drivers side that came with my 70  RT/SE.      I now out trying to nail down what is cadmium plated, gray phosphate plated and so on..........  your help is appreciated...........I can see you have a fine car and an eye for detail

    Some A-body mirror heads are correct for the RH e-body.  I think 70-71, but not certain.  The repro bases launched those mirrrors.

    Agree, I think that is why the A body racing mirrors sell for such a good price
