I was wondering if any of you had one or had any idea how many were built?  Thanks.

You have a nice car. I am partial to '71's.   I have a black Challenger.  I know of another member who has a 73 Rallye triple black.  We know of 3.  Has anyone ever recieved info as far as production numbers?

As far as I know, they did not break down the production numbers by color. I would be interested to know how many black one's there are to.

I'm afraid the mystery will continue. They didn't break it down to what colors the cars were.

It is true that there is no color break down from the factory.  People like Galen at GTS have somewhat of an idea due to the amount seen.  I have not seen many factory ordered black cars. I was hoping someone had a black car and had info on how many were around or how many were possibly built.  Maybe we should start a list since E-bodies are what we are about.

Yip, the only way were going to find out is to get ALL the Challengers that still exist and put them on a big field and sort them into color, drivetrain and options. Impossible. Even if we did there are the cars in barns and the cars who have left us for good missing.  :-[
