    Speaking of 70 mirrors vs 71 thru 74

    I know the base is wider on the 71s and later..........however they are repoping these mirror bases now.........is the upper part the same on the 70s thru later models............seems like someone or maybe even me asked this before

    The upper part is not the same.... shape is definately different! I whish I had the specifics at my fingertips and could further explain... I do believe that now the entire 70 unit is being reproduced.

    The 70 mirrors as stated have the smaller base. They are more tear shaped than the 71 to 74 AND the passenger mirror is wider than the driver's mirror as conex glass was not used then. The wider pass mirror gave more viewing witdh.
