A good quality complete rebuild kit is a good start. Make sure it has steel plates and bands too. Make sure to replace all thrust washers and bushings and over running clutch rollers and springs too. Blueprint all the specs and install your trans-go kit and you will have a killer trans. If you have a stall converter a cooler is a good idea also. The trans-go kit you have is an excellent kit. It's the one of my choice.
Man I love them 68 tail lights!!
