I feel smarter today!
« on: August 11, 2005 - 06:34:02 PM »
To make up for my "stuck valve" mishap I figured while I was in there I should install new valve seals and I`m glad I did.I had 4 intake seals come off in 2 or more pieces and all the rest were fairly high on the rockwell hardness scale. It should now not only run on all 8 cylinders in the correct order but also won`t smoke out the nieghborhood everytimr it starts up.I still need to track down an oil leak and maybe this weekend take it out around the block to see how it runs and how the tranny shifts.   :driving:
Oh yeah,I took a marker and numbered the plug wires!

Torred, glad you had a hunch to screw around with the valve seals and found what were most likely your smoking problems.  Have fun taking it for a drive and good luck with that oil leak....Speaking from experience, those little rascals can be a pain the the butt for quite some time. :burn:
