71 Cuda Luggage Rack
« on: November 08, 2005 - 08:28:50 PM »
In keeping with getting my car back to fender tag original options, I purchased a repro luggage rack from PG Classics.  It arrived yesterday and it seems very nice and well made (direct from China) lol.  My only complaint is there are no assembly instructions and the original from mine is long gone.  Would anyone happen to have pictures of an installed luggage rack that they could post for references. Once again, thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

Guys,

Thank you so much...they are excellent pics. Are they original Mopar Racks or aftermarket?  Can you tell me how they attach underneath the trunk lid?

Mine is original, and has nutserts in the trunklid. Think of them as a collaspible wellnut.

JS,

I did get nutsets in the hardward package, I just couldn't figure where or how they went.  Are they pressed in place with a rivet setter?  Excuse my endless questions as I have no references to refer to. Your pictures at least helped me get the rack assembled correctly. Thanks again.

Thanks for the engineering drawing Barry. Where does one find a collection of these. I would love to have them for future reference on anything E-Body.

The drawings came from a pal who has another pal that used to work for Chrysler. :-)

I recieved a second set recently, same scenario but the second set is thicker. I still need to go through it page by page and see what the new pages are. ;-)
