Headlight delay had nothing to do with the A01 package.  It was a seperate option.

Really? Seems odd that the light package doesn't include the light option.
What is the code for the headlight delay?  :???: :dontknow: :)

This is what is included:

Light Package (A01)
Ahstray Lamp, trunk lamp, glove box lamp, map/courtesy lamp, ignition switch lamp w/time delay, time delay instrument panel floodlight, fender mounted turn signals (N/A with R/T or 340 pkg.), buzzer, headlight-on reminder.
1970 Dodge Challenger R/T
White, License Plate, 0A-5599
540ci Aluminium Hemi, F.A.S.T EFI
TF-727 Gear Vendor OD, Dana 60

I believe it is L65 but will only be listed on the build sheet. Check out the 'L' row and you'll see a box reserved for 'Ignition Switch/Time Delay'...i think ::)

My '73 Cuda has that , but I don't think it has the ignition switch lamp.   How does that work?   Maybe my ignition switch was replaced.

I'm pretty sure it was just a light ring around the ignition.  :???: Also wasn't A01 a 1970 only option?  :dontknow:

Here is proof from a Chrysler document about the Headlight delay for the guys that were curious.  ;)

A01 was available for many years prior to and past 1970.  The way the key light was made was different depending upon the year, but basically it consisted of a set of additional wires that went up around the switch.

Due to the fact that A01's came with and without L31's, cars with L31 showed on the tag.
